A 5-day science expedition in the Carnarvon Ranges designed to appeal to naturalists, ecology enthusiasts and fit citizen scientists alike. We will explore the remote headwater region of the Dawson River in the Carnarvon Ranges and map the biodiversity there. We hope to find threatened species such as the glossy black-cockatoo and greater glider, while also documenting the other plants and animals we encounter. Led by Boobook Ecological Consulting’s founder, principal ecologist and expert Craig Eddie, this expedition will share new understanding every step of the way. We return each evening to glamping accommodation at the Wallaroo Outback Retreat.
